All members will conduct themselves in an inclusive and sportsmanlike manner, will help each other where possible and will not allow their conduct to bring the BAGSD name into disrepute\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eAll members will adhere to our social media policy\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eAll members will abide by the five freedoms that all animals are entitled to under the Animal Welfare Act 2006\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003e\u003ca href=\u0022https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2006/45/contents\u0022\u003eAnimal Welfare Act 2006 (legislation.gov.uk)\u003c/a\u003e\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eAll members will ensure their dogs wear correct identification tags and will maintain control of their dogs at all times in a public place\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003e\u003ca href=\u0022https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1992/901/contents/made#:~:text=The%20Control%20of%20Dogs%20Order%201992%201%20Title,4%20Seizure%20of%20dogs%205%20Enforcement%206%20Revocations\u0022\u003eThe Control of Dogs Order 1992 (legislation.gov.uk)\u003c/a\u003e\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eAll breeders will ensure they have the correct breeders license in place\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003e\u003ca href=\u0022https://www.gov.uk/guidance/dog-breeding-licence-england\u0022\u003eDog breeding licence (England) - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)\u003c/a\u003e\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eAll breeders will ensure their dogs and bitches are health tested and the results are below the breed average before mating the dogs.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eAll breeders agree not to breed from a dog or bitch which could be in any way harmful to the dog or detrimental to the breed.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eAll breeders will not create demand for, or breed puppies not of the colours set out in the breed standard.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eAll breeders will only sell dogs where there is a reasonable expectation of a happy and healthy life and will help with the re-homing of a dog if the initial circumstances change.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eAll breeders will agree without reservation to report any c section and conformational surgeries to the Kennel Club\u0026nbsp;\u003ca href=\u0022https://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/dog-breeding/first-time-breeders/whelping-your-first-litter/reporting-c-sections-and-surgeries/\u0022\u003eReport C-sections \u0026 conformational surgeries | Kennel Club (thekennelclub.org.uk)\u003c/a\u003e\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eAll breeders will supply written details of all dietary requirements and give guidance concerning responsible ownership when placing dogs in a new home.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eAll breeders will ensure that all relevant Kennel Club documents are provided to the new owner when selling or transferring a dog, and will agree, in writing, to forward any relevant documents at the earliest opportunity, if not immediately available.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eAll breeders will not sell by sale or auction Kennel Club registration certificates as standalone items (not accompanying a dog).\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eAll breeders will not knowingly misrepresent the characteristics of the breed nor falsely advertise dogs nor mislead any person regarding the health or quality of a dog.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eAll members will when breeding dogs, adopt as a minimum standard the principles, Requirements and recommendations as embodied in the Kennel Club\u0027s Assured Breeder Scheme. It is strongly recommended that members who breed should apply to join the Scheme.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eAll members must be aware their behaviour and actions must be governed by the principles set out in this Code.
